Join more than 140 young musicians in Umpqua Symphony Association’s Winter and Spring concerts of the Douglas County Youth Orchestra for our 2011-12 season. Unlike many audition-only youth string programs, the Douglas County Youth Orchestra offers musical training to young people of all ability levels, from beginner to advanced. Our orchestra attracts string players aged 5 to 18 from across the county. If you have not heard these players before, you are sure to be surprised and delighted at their level of technical sophistication and the beauty of the music they make.
Admission to these concerts is free; donations to the orchestra program will be accepted.
